Throughout the season the club stages competitions which are only open to Dudley Camera Club members. They are split into Digital competitions and Print competitions. Both of which are split into colour and monochrome. Each round has three levels of entry, General, for new members and less experienced photographers, Intermediate, for photographers with a good grasp of photography, and Advanced, for the most experienced photographers in the club. There are four rounds each of the digital and the print competitions held over the course of the year. Points are awarded to the top three in each section and at the end of the year the winners of the General and Intermediate sections are promoted up into the next level
